At the end of August 2012, Marini took part in FACIM Expo, the most important trade fair in the Republic of Mozambique with its own booth.
The acronym FACIM stands for Agro Fair – Livestock, Commercial and Industrial Mozambique and it is the best place to meet all the movers on the economic scene of the country, one of the most interesting growing economies of the entire continent.
A construction boom is underway in Mozambique, concrete proof of the country’s impressive economic revolution, 20 years after the end of a bloody and dramatic civil war. Growth hit 7.1% last year, accelerating to 8.1% in the final quarter. The country is poised to become the world’s biggest coal exporter within the next decade, while the recent discovery by Eni (the most important Italian multinational oil and gas company) of two massive gas fields in its waters has turned the entire region into a very interesting hotspot, promising a $250bn fortune in the energy compartment.
In this interesting scenario, Marini can count on its more than 30 years of presence in the asphalt business of the country, to be a part of the development of the nation.
